MATADOR Basketball Club VS Wombats Basketball Club

Result: MATADOR Basketball Club(44) - Wombats Basketball Club(26) 
The Wombats were coming off a morale 
boosting victory in their last game against the 
Gekkos and it showed in the 1st quarter of 
this game. Their energy and rebounding 
abilities unsettled the Matador players and 
resulted in several unforced errors by our 
guys. We improved tremendously in the 2nd 
and 3rd quarter of this game, on the back of 
some red-hot shooting by Bernard and Ben. 
Our 2 big men, Jason and Bobby, also 
chipped in with a couple of offensive boards 
and put-backs to leave us with a comfortable 
lead going into the 4th quarter. The usual 
collapse threatened to happen to us when the 
Wombats went full court man-on-man in an 
attempt to chase the game. However, our 
guys are made of sterner stuff these days, 
and we managed to close out a very good 
victory for our 3rd win on the trot. Onwards 
to the Iguanas!
